April 12 | 11:00am - 1:00pm
Families are invited to a special Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 12th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on The Green lawn, near Pandora. This fun-filled afternoon will celebrate our beautiful planet, featuring a special concert by Bash the Trash, a four-person band that builds, performs, and educates with musical instruments made from reused and repurposed materials.
The celebration will also include an interactive Earth Day seed ball-making activity for kids, hosted by the Westchester Parks Foundation. Children of all ages will learn the importance of planting native species and how they impact local wildlife right here in Yonkers. Kids will be given the materials to make their own seed balls to take home, as well as ones that will later be planted in parks by Westchester Parks Foundation volunteers.
No experience needed, suitable for all ages. Children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
